Tom of Finland Foundation has been dedicated to protecting, preserving and promoting the erotic arts for three and a half decades.
* This year’s Tom of Finland Art and Culture Festival: Plugged In is the 25th time we have hosted this event. We have held Festivals in New York City and Los Angeles, and we are proud to bring it online now for a global audience. This year, we have created a custom website, special for this Festival. With you, we are celebrating Tom’s 100th birthday and the 36th year of the Tom of Finland Foundation.
* Plugged In is inspired by the many digital ways in which we have logged on, tuned in and booted up. It was important to us to make this event free and open to the public, especially during these difficult times. This online Festival supports artists by providing them a way to present themselves, in line with our mission of protecting, preserving and promoting the erotic arts.
On the home page, there is a <> which you can click and drag to get around. In the map, there are different rooms. In each room, there are a collection of artist’s booths their works or wares. You will also be able to purchase works from the artists and find out more about them there. There is also a directory which you will be able to scroll through the entire list of artists or you can search through all of the pages on the site.
The Festival features events including performances, drawing sessions, panels, and videos streaming. After the event has finished you will be able to view it on The World of TOM Patreon.
Throughout the weekend, Tom of Finland Foundation will be hosting an auction. Be sure to check it out!
Every Art & Culture Festival, we make sure to award those people who have impacted our community in various ways. On Saturday at 530p, we will announce the winners of the 2020 Emerging Artist Competition. On Sunday, we will highlight noted community legends with awards.
Make sure to sign our Guest Book!
A Note on COVID-19
Facing hardship as a community is not something that’s new to us. For many, the isolation and dangers surrounding COVID-19 is a hard reminder of the devastation of HIV/AIDS. As we move online, we continue to face censorship and discrimination for who we are and how we express ourselves. We cannot gather to experience our lives in person as we normally do. At the Foundation, it’s been vital for us to create the space for artists to sell their work, as well as for community members to come together. We hope that this Festival allows all of you to shelter safely while plugging in.
Support the Tom of Finland Foundation
If you have the means, Tom of Finland Foundation is always gratefully accepting donations. We are a 501c3, tax-deductible organization, largely funded by public support. There are many ways you can support the legacy of Tom of Finland, as well as the protection, preservation, and promotion of the erotic arts.
